Just received noticed from Rec.Gov that my Whitney Portal Family Campground reservations were cancelled. The reservations in question ended on Thursday, May 21. My reservations starting on May 22 (Friday) have not been cancelled, yet.

I think rec.gov is doing this on a week-by-week basis with intervals every seven days if that makes any sense - 5/7, 5/14, 5/21 and so on. I also had two E. sierra campground reservation cancelled by them in this cycle.

I have campground reservations beginning June 1 for three nights, however it appears the closure has been extended through June 30. Rec.gov is still accepting reservations beginning June 1. Can anyone clarify this? Thanks!

I am betting rec.gov has a lot of catching up to do and your reservation will be rescinded.
