Since there's still risk involved, I've decided I'm going to try and go over Whitney/Russell (next Sunday) to get back onto the JMT...I'll add another day of supplies due to the difficulty of the terrain...I do love that Arctic Drainage...the West Side climb up Whitney is trivial...
On another note: I'm getting a late start (for some altitude exercise) up to HM to have a look at New Army Pass...assuming I don't move too slow to make it up-and-back in daylight...if I get a good view, I'll post some photos...
