My brother had one also, so some time in the late 60's we got a letter to go to Mission Bay and form the west Coast BMW club one other person showed up and thats the rest of the story!

It seems like it would be easier to just keep it the way its supposed to be. I'm thinking they would have had to go through extra steps to turn the footage around. I'm no expert on the filming industry though. It's funny regardless.
