Hi the date is set now for the Hero's hike and Shin will be a guest with a comment about how many times he has summited Baldy it might be 400! But of not please save the date bring as many people as you can for this great cause and help send one of the wounded warriors to Everest .
Let's make this the biggest Wpsmb , You don't need to summit just come out for a great day ,Jack Betsy and I rode the lift last year so it's not that hard !
Please save April 12 for the climb ,the Hero's site will have a page I will start a group WPSMB sign in or join another group that you know but please help make this a great turn out I promised Charlie 1000 people for the event ,this is a very simple way to show our respect for what these young people have done for our Country.

If someone does fly into Ontario you could walk from there.
The tram is fun if you know how to get on and off, I'm still working on that part. Make sure you bring a coat and snacks. I know a person who got cold on tram ride down.

I know Ontario is closer to Baldy, but I would extend the trip to climb things closer to Lone Pine.

April is a ways away yet, but it's good to get it on the calendar early. I hope to attend, but I don't know what my circumstances will be then yet (my current job ends at the end of this month).

Hi Checked facebook yesterday and says 40+ are going and about 15+ may join so lets get to 100 for sure before the registration open for a start!!!!!!
Went to the Portal Saturday a lot of cars and at least one group of a fall color camera workshop. Looks like a repeat of last season very sad but we did have a recharge in our water system from the turn on to close we doubled the flow rate so the floods from late June till mid Aug helped the groundwater table and the upper lakes.

Hi Just started a Team for the Hero's Hike WPSMB same password as last year 14508. So looks like jump on quick since the 60 minutes program we may have a limited time to get open spaces. Thanks Doug
new email the email says password is 145508, so try that on the login for the Team WPSMB

Hi Great first day we have 12 people signed up for the hike!!!! If you can Please sign on since I think the numbers of people will exceed the limit.Which is great but this will also be Shins somewhere near 12 times up Baldy we don't want to miss that!!!

Hey Doug, I find the following link to be more direct to the Baldy event. There is a tab at the top to "Join" a team. From there enter WPSMB as the team name to search for, and then you will need the password: 145508 to join. http://heroes.convio.net/site/TR?fr_id=1081&pg=entryHope this helps John
