If Hawley says it's true, it is... and she turned 90 today... Press release over at Climbing.com.

BTW, the show was outstanding!

Skydiveken, I did'nt see you there amongst the crowd, but I second what you said, thanks Richard for posting this event and it was good seeing you. Kurt put on a really great show at WLA, as I heard he did at all the other locations during the week.
Doug, thanks for dinner after the show and Joyce I hope "Falling Rock" went well.

Cheers Phil

Hi Friday morning I thought if I leave about noon can miss the traffic and see Kurts show , about 9 AM we found out the material we picked up in Riverside the day before was wrong. After calling the company the best option was just drive back and exchange the material, that done by 3:30 pm so I had 3 hours to drive the 60-70 miles! nothing to it 15-91-71-60-10 and the escape plan downtown was hit the surface streets , was sitting in a Pizza shop at 5PM one block from A-16 and had dinner with Kurt, Steve and Ogla.

Great show and was able to see several people I had missed over the last few years. Packed house for the show , Kurt has a way of bringing the local people into his trips that adds to the experience.

Nice dinner with Phil,Nancy and Joyce after the show ,Joyce has hugh plans for next summer just short of climbing Everest she may join the Portal Crew so stay tuned!!

Thanks everyone for making Kurts show .

Thanks to everybody who made it out to one of the stores to see my show. It was great to catch up with so many of you.

I wish I could have made the Baldy hike on Friday. I ended up walking barefoot on the beach and that was some good exercise for my ankle. It has since gotten quite a bit stronger and if that hike was today I'd be able to do it. Next time...

I'll probably be back in the spring sometime doing Whitney clinics at Adventure 16 stores. Lets plan on a Baldy hike then... hopefully with snow!!!
