I'm doing the HST fm Lodgepole to the portal starting the 19th, and I was wondering if any one has either done it yet this year, or if anyone has been as far as Crabtree fm the portal. I hear the trail is good through Kaweah Gap, but I'm not finding much info on the east side. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

flew directly over the east side of the HST on friday...it's really dry. granted it's a 30,000' view (pun intended)

A group of HST'ers were in the WPS on Friday. I asked about snow... they said it exists, but was not a problem.
