Hey Catpappy

I wore Vasque Breeze boots. I've gotten good use of that make and model for the past several years; they feel broken in right out of the box. (works for me and mileage may vary).

I used a Osprey daypack. I did the dip and sip at Clyde Meadow and the waterfall below Iceberg lake. Carried a liter in the hydration sack.

Mental benchmarks to track my progress each lap (e.g. an hour to LBSL, and hour and half to Clyde Meadow. On the way down an hour from the summit to Iceberg Lake.etc etc). Used that motivate on laps 2 and three as I realized I was not far off from the pace of lap one.

@Laura: damn, now I have to go back and do it again to make sure I have the right beer laugh

This seems appropriate. Got to be a way to attach a hydration tube to this for on the go refreshment.

Amazing timing, but why in a world would you want to hike a boring galley up and down three times in one day?:)))

Congrats Jim! There's been some pretty amazing records and accomplishments this year! Sounds like Shin will be on that list this year as well with his Four-Hundreth Baldy Summit soon! Pretty Cool!

I'm going to guess that with the big grin at the end of the sentence, you're being facetious smile

Jimbozoom: wondering if you had a chance to put together a "special album", or if that was limited those just cruisin' along and taking in the scenery...

Some quotes from the mountaineering literature:

Smothered beneath the layers of rationality in every human mind there lies the urge to attempt the impossible. That the objective may be intrinsically useless is immaterial.
Nicholas Clinch, A Walk in the Sky page viii

There was too much likelihood with the whole game of climbing that if one sat down rationally and analysed what one was doing or planned to do it could be proved to be not only beyond the bounds of possibility but pointless as well.
Joe Tasker, Savage Arena page 132

“Why do you climb?” Mountaineering madness no doubt.

Hard to find words to describe my thoughts on this outstanding accomplishment, Jim. How about "you are my hero." smile

BIG TIME CONGRATS!
