Doug, Do you know how I can get a copy of "Mt Whitney: Mt Lore from the Whitney Store"? Amazon.com says that they can't get it anymore, and I haven't seen it in our stores.

Here is a copy of the December 20th post about the 2nd Edition. This is the last thing I had seen about the book since then. Hope this helps!

I had no trouble getting a copy of the book from Amazon approx. 2-3 weeks ago. Its well written with practical, frank, down to earth advice. Very enjoyable.

I just received my copy of "Mountain Lore From The Whitney Store" and wanted to tell everyone it is worth every penny and is a great book. I ordered it from the publisher a couple of days ago and it has already arrived.

I agree with the others who have said good things about the book. I got mine last month from Amazon before they ran out. The book will leave you very well informed about the hike and what you can expect on the mountain.
