A seven-year-old, Tyler Armstrong, recently completed Mt. Whitney in 17 hours. Story here.

We'll have to watch for his climb of Kili and other peaks...

Not to take anything away from this young boy, but our own Rosie (Rosabella) climbed Mt Whitney as a 7 year old way back in 1959. She did the hike with her Father and several of her siblings. I do not know if they did the hike from the West side via Crabtree Meadows or from the Portal, but I suspect the Portal was their starting point.
