Hi to all,

My brother and I are headed up Mt Williamson on 7/11 - going for the REALLY LONG "dayhike"... Anyone been up there lately? Are crampons/axe needed for the pass? For the chute?

One guy told me that he thought crampons were needed for the pass before ~10am when the ice was slick. We're hoping to be at the pass by ~8:30am. Anyone else been up there this week?

I would LOVE to leave the crampons/axe at home, but if I need 'em, I need 'em...

Thanks.
