I hiked up to Lone Pine Lake on Saturday to scout the conditions and noticed that there is a clear "trail" cut through the snow that runs from the fork in the trail at Lone Pine Lake to Trail Camp. The trail runs south of Lone Pine Creek and looks to be a straight shot to all the way to trail camp, bypassing Outpost Camp and Trailside Meadow. Is this a quicker route? Is it also used in the summer or is it just another case of hikers blazing there own trails in the snow?
