Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Main Trail, May 11-12; Anyone?

I am heading up the main trail next week and checking to see if there are others doing the same. Don't necessarily need to keep together, as I don't want to slow anyone down, but would be nice to know there's someone around at Outpost or Trailcamp. Shall start Wednesday afternoon and return Thursday evening.

Am planning a hike tomorrow (5/7) to Trail Camp. Will post a TR on conditions, snow levels, etc.

I will be leaving for Trail Camp Tuesday morning. Hoping to summit Wednesday. There should be other brave souls around. Cold spring storm should be moving out by then......hopefully
