I was thinking of you guys over the weekend, beautiful warm conditions make for deep slush and as I played around with my dog, I kept thinking how much harder it would be with a full pack on. I can't wait to read the TR and see the beautiful pics.

Congratulations to all again!!
I just looked at Richard's photo album of the trip. It is like a very well made documentary film. It captured every moment of the trip. The trip was a model winter climb with a very experienced leader and kind and considerate climbing partners.
I am proud of everyone.

Thanks Shin, but you guys give me too much credit.
The truth of the matter is that I woke up feeling very *%#)*^ on Sunday morning and slept in. I somehow managed to get myself motivated (probably due to the fact that I didn't think I'd see a better day on Whitney anytime soon) to head up. I caught up to the group at Iceberg Lake. Ryan climbed up the Couloir with Ava while I stared at Brandon's butt (no, it didn't serve as any motivation to keep going - I just didn't really want to look up to see how much farther it was to the Notch).
Ava, Brandon and Ryan did a good job of working thru what had to be a thrilling first climb and descent of the Final 400'. I don't think Ava believes me when I say that it gets easier after that first time.
It was an outstanding outing. Wish you were there.

Thanks everyone! It was a great weekend all around and a good time on the mountain with great friends. It was great to be a part of Mouse's MR moment too. When we woke up on Sunday morning to start our summit bid Richard had a headache and said that he wasn't going. So Brandon, Ava and I thought we had the route to ourselves. But on our way to Iceberg Lake we noticed that we were being stalked by this guy with a mustache. He just couldn't resist the calling... Mouse making her move.  The group summit shot. Just looked at your photos Ryan, great as always. (I need to take a look at Richard's too.) You guys had perfect weather! Who would have guessed that in Mid-January it could be so balmy. Congrats to Ava and all of you on a successful climb.

Hey guys, Sorry its taken me almost a week to post anything on this thread. I've been a little busy since getting back.
