WPSMB Family, it’s that time of the year again! Kurt Wedberg is coming down south to give his slide show at A-16. Our first “Baldy Climb” of the season is set for Friday November 19th. We’ll meet at Manker Flats trail head for a 6am start. To answer, why so early? Kurt needs to be in West LA that evening for his slide show. To answer who can come, everybody is invited. If you haven’t been on any of these group hikes or haven’t been to one of Kurt’s slideshow they are a must. I’ve been to both and they were both awesome. In case you have never been on one of these group WPSMB Baldy events with Kurt below is a few pictures from the past ones…..

Saved by the bell, November 19th is a Friday so I can't make it, I'll be working 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I looked at your photos of you hiking Mt. Baldy in the snow and it brought back memories of 2005 when I and my friends were training on Mt. Baldy for Mt. Whitney. It was a "crampon" day, but we didn't have crampons. Burrrrrrrr, your photos make me shiver and make my teeth chatter. Have fun, I'll look forward to your photos.

Lynn & Richard I saw you both yesterday..........You both looked ill. I think you'll have to take off that Friday in November (11/19) so you can recuperate. (and go hike Baldy with us)

Hi,

Looks like Larry and I can go smile

But I left my crampons with my Sherpa on Everest so I had better get on the ball and get some more. Love Baldy in the winter smile

Thanks Jeff but I just ordered some from Mountain Tools. I'm going light with Grivel AIR TECH CRAMPONS. These should be good for Aconcagua also. I know the snow won't be an issue but I got me to order new crampons. So, no lunch bet smile

Jeff -
I put a request in for the day off and Curt's his own boss, so no problem with his approval. I think we'll be there(finally). Have you heard from the San Diego contingency yet? (Carole, Mouse, Arthur, Norm?)

Stacy
ps Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!
