Have a permit for 9-11 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the high/lows have been at different elevations.

Check out http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/queryLonger?459 for hourly temperatures over the last ten days...you can keep checking the site up to your trip date and it will give you some indication of what to expect. It can't predict, of course! But I always find it useful before I hike up there.

Where is this station exactly? I can't find Cottonwood Lakes on my map.

Cottonwood Lakes is on the Cirque Peak Quad and isn't on the Harrison Whitney map either. It's probably about 5 miles or less from Trail Camp as the crow flies.

The resource stated is the best available for historical temperature data.

The Cottonwood Laked station is at 10,150 feet elevation--about the same as Outpost Camp, for reference. Expect colder temps higher, and warmer temps lower...Have fun!

The cottonwood lakes sensor station is very helpful.. Just take the numbers and subtract about 3-4 degree for every thousand feet higher in elevation. That will give you a good idea. For example, @ trail camp (about 2000 feet higher), the highs and lows should be colder by about 7-8 degrees
