Anybody headed up to this area tomorrow or Sunday? I'm hoping to get one of the 40% walk-in permits at the ranger station tomorrow morning.

Any favorite spots to camp? I'm thinking lake 4 or 5.

I'm hoping to hit Langley via Old Army Pass either late tomorrow or Sunday morning. Any advice on routefinding. It sounds pretty straightforward from the previous posts and trip reports.

Hope to see some of you out there!

Getting in that bowl below Army Pass sets you up perfectly for Langley. Those lakes have a little less vegetation but are nice. The route up Army is pretty straight forward and the route finding to Langley is about as simple as it gets from the old pass.

Just follow 1 of 9,000,000 trails people have made to the mountain. We found heading up the gully to near the base of the mountain then heading west worked best for us, that is if you are taking the class 2 route.

Don't forget the low gaiters if you have them. It is really sandy from the top of Army Pass to the top of the mountain.

Good luck, its a fun trip,

Bill
