In Secor's book, he claims that there are records of ascents for all Sierra peaks - except for one. He refuses to reveal it's location, preferring to live with the knowledge that there is one unclimbed peak left in the Sierra Nevada. Do you folks think this is true? Anyone else know which peak it is? Not that I would necessarily climb it if I did know - just curious.

Bad news. It seems that our friend Andreas Hinterstosser found that peak and climbed it back in 1987. A news crew from is homeland covered the event and he has it on videotape (Betamax, of course). The peak is even named after him in the old counry.

Yes, but all of you have climbed the wrong peak. There is still one that has not been ascended. R.J. knows about it. I got him drunk one night last year and he spilled the beans to me and then swore me to secrecy the next morning when he ***ered up.

By the way, how tall do you think R.J. is? Most people assume he's a short guy, as he looks like a troll in the photo in his book. But actually, he's 6'7". Also, he broke his arm recently on Mt. Emerson.
