I'm taking my son and a family friend into Hogback Canyon for an overnight Saturday. Will be heading up to Lone Pine in a few hours, will do a little Moose hunting before dinner and then probably crash up by the Portal before heading down Saturday morning to get started. If you see us in town or at the Portal, stop by and say hi. Silver/Grey GMC crewcab. Hope everyone has a great weekend loaded with hikes and climbs.............DUG

I love hiking, but hiking with "The Boy" is 100x better. Except when he blows by me to the summit.................DUG

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Original trip was a bust due to some early navagational issues. Switched to a back up plan and secured a permit for Whitney. Got my 12 year old and a family friend up for their 1st summits. TR later.

Moose hunting went very well. All hugs and XOXOXO delivered as requested.........................DUG
