I did 9 miles in about 90 degree heat on 09/09/09:

Morris Peak Photos.

Saw a bunch of familiar signatures in the summit register, some from a long time ago:

Rogue Photonic.

Norma and Mars Bonfire.

Tom, Lisa, Rafael, Alice, Rachel.

Tom Sakai, who has recently had the pass above UBSL named for him.

A bunch from Jim Freeland.

An Al Green, from 1984. He recently had the pass between LeConte and Mallory named for him.

Bob from 1986.

I had been thinking of this for quite a while.... actually since the last big UNIX time-geek rollover earlier this year...

As it happens, my Toyota Land Cruiser (still in excellent shape) hit exactly 222,222 on 09/09/09. That took a little bit of planning; really not too much, just avoided driving to the store a few times early this week.

I really wanted to be in my LC, on Tues, at location:

cslat = "Lat: 33.3333 N ";
cslon = "Lon: 44.4444 E ";

because in real life I program GPS satellite downlink software programs (for UncleSam), and to get a pix of my cell phone, GPS, and odometer at the same instant would be very cool.

Still glad I was not there!
