Bee... you may feel free to use my stove anytime yoiu want to.. it is small, very lightweight and efficient (so far as I've used it lol)... I will very happily share with you. I also have an extra very lightweight titanium pot so you can have your own if you'd like instead of sharing

As for the combat boots... please leave those at home... either that or make sure they don't get in any of the pictures that get shared. If my kids see you hiking in combat boots I'll never hear the end of it.. "But MMMoooooommmmmmm SHE did it!!!!"

I have a nice new water filter that has been tested the last two trips, and it is in fine working order. I HATE dealing with camp stoves (I have some goofy stories..) so it will bee great to leave 'Ol Stinky home.

Combat Boots: the Goat Pack (hiking buddies) almost refused to hike with me anymore until I got some real hiking boots..another friend who wears the same size thrust a pair at me, and after about a month, I have come to love them. Eventually, I will get my own brand new pair...!

Hey so I wanted to go over a few things:
As far as stoves go this is who I think are bringing:
SoCal
Blooty
Moosie
Is this going to be enough for all of us for three days or should I bring one as well. I don't want to bring to much.

I also wanted to find out the same for water filters as well. For the most part I think I'm good with just drinking natural water..Hoping not to get anything..

As for Tents: It seems that everyone is bringing there own.

Food: Is that we have the potluck on Friday and then everyone is on there own.

Does that pretty much sum it up. Am I forgetting anything?

I did a solo 18mi/~2500elev gain and learned a few "lessons":

Hint: when the book says NOT to do as a day hike, it might mean that the alternative is finishing as a 10:00pm night hike. (it IS billed as a local Whitney Prep Hike)
Hint: if everyone you know KNOWS that you have cell phone & coverage THEY WILL USE IT TO EXCESS! And once the sun has gone down, you can't keep up with the hysterical texts from your Jewish mother...AND yer battery is dying (no, not mine -- the cell phone) panic is sure to ensue (no, not me -- the rest of my universe as I know it)

I will try to write a trip report, but,ahem, I am pretty lazy!

My ankle is feeling better - got some serious jabs from the doc. He even put in a few extra to "get rid of any pains that I don't know I have yet" Ha ha, he's a funny guy. Then the nurse asked me if I was trying to turn asian since my ankle was yellow - hardy har har.. they're all comedians today.

Went to my gym workout today - felt great. Ava, I'm going to hit I.Mnt tomorrow AM. The morning mist on the mountain almost made me bail the workout & head up the mountain. I gotta get me some of that! Gives me shivers in a good way =)

Wanted to put out there that I have 2 2-man lightweight tents:

I think I am taking the Nighthaven, and am happy to share, note that I do tend to snore out there.

If others would like to borrow the BA tent (very light compared to others) that's fine. It's actually brand new (had to return the other one due to some holes in the mesh) and only dad used it a month ago.
