Hi Spiderme, I am planning the Gorgonio hike on the 19th. I will see about getting a pass for the three of us when I get back in town. Doing Whitney tomorrow if it's not too windy  Hey Blooty, are we just doing a one day thing or a over niter? Good with either one.  I hope you have a great Whitney climb. Can't wait to see the pics.

Carole, Torrey is right on the coast so if we start at 7 that would be cool. There is a parking lot at the bottom we can meet there. This is a pretty easy hike so we can hammer it out in about an hour and half.
As far as Elfin Forest, I have not done that one yet. Loretta has done it a few times. It is a little more inland but not as hot as Iron. I would be up for either one of those on Sat or Sun. Early Early start. Or a bike ride could work as well. The most I've done on the road bike is 45 mile. Still a rookie there too..

I met a girl from my the early era of my old skate team at last weekend's party. She seems like a avid hiker & able to hold her own. I've asked her to meet us at the parking lot Friday AM.

Carole, I would love to hike on Sunday morn. Loretta is in Hawaii (Bitch) so she can not be there. I'm good going early so pick the time. You will have a farther drive then I will.

Hey my Southern California hiking friends
Any of you like watching UFC fights? The UFC is this weekend, we are having a replay party of it on Sunday at 4pm. Stone beer will be served & a few other beverages (we pretty much have a full bar - not fubar...full bar) and ribs & pizza
Maybe hike (mostly a stroll)through Penasquitos Canyon as Chris suggested early in the AM (about 7) to get the blood moving and then meeting later in the day for good food, beer and the UFC 100th fight night. Boys can come too =)
Blooty, Laura or other NoCal girls; i have a guest room if you guys wanna come down. Its only got a full sized sleeper - so someone else gets the thermarest or Aerobed. you know the drill, first come...
Chris hun, I have baily's & children are welcome
P.S. Smoked salmon came out great last night - Sooo, Hubby is asking to make that one of the dishes for UFC night. I'll be running out to get some more fish (storebought).
On that note - Laura, if you come down I do have a smoker and if you have fish - I'll smoke them for you.

Hey all Carole, Joe and I had a great hike this morning up Iron Mt. We started out at 6 am so it wasn't too hot. We will be doing a good hike every weekend if anyone wants to join. Carole or I will let everyone know where we are going to hike to see if anyone wants to join. It would be good to get more people out there.

We have one extra permit for Gorgonio South Fork Trail for Sunday the 19th. The plan is to summit...but it's going to be very hot so that may change if we start suffering from heat exaustion . This is a 23 mile r.t. hike. Please PM if interested.
