In five years of summiting Whitney, I've never seen so much water; plenty to be found everywhere ... up to about a quarter of the way up the switchbacks.
Friday, Aug 1 ... drizzled all the way up from Lone Pine Lake to Trail Camp. Overnight low at TC was 34 degrees.
Saturday, Aug 2 ... beautiful morning at summit ... 64 degrees. Snowed and hailed on us on the way back down to TC. Sleeted and rained that evening. Overnight low at TC was 35 degrees.
Sunday, Aug 3rd ... beautiful day; sunny and warm, not a *****in' cloud in the sky ... Arrrgh!
