I have a permit reservation from July 7th to 9th for the North Fork Lone Pine Creek Trail (MR). As of this morning 2 spots became available on my permit. Looking for anyone that wants to join our team for a summit attempt on July 8th.
Please keep in mind that you will need to provide your own food/equipment including helmet and harness. I will have about 100’ of climbing rope for the last 400' if needed.
Our game plan is to acclimatize at Horseshoe Meadows on July 6th. Head to Whitney Portal on July 7th and set up camp at UBSL. July 8th summit attempt and July 9th head back down to the Portal.
With a successful Whitney summit attempt (via MR) last year, I am not a guide by no means. Interested individuals should have some experience trekking/climbing at high altitudes.
Would like to have a full group of 4 by June 30th, otherwise I will notify the Eastern Sierra InterAgancy Visitor Center about the group size change.
