Weather permitting we're going to dayhike Alta tomorrow, car camp at Lodgepole (possibly camp at the Chimney Rock parking area), then climb at Chimney on Sunday.

I'm a little new to posting Here. Heres my question. I'm heading up the PCT from Sonora Pass with my son and a Freind on the twenty fifth. Do you have any info on the snow conditions over sonora peak and along the trail. I've been monitoring snowtel but who knows what is really on the ground at the pass.

If you'll be back before the twenty forth could you post an update or trip report I'd be very interested in hearing about you trip. Our goal is echo lakes so alot of snow might present a problem with food allocations.
