I live a bit south of you and have also been seeing them regularly for awhile. A couple of weeks ago I was walking my dog in the late afternoon and watched about a dozen of them try to roost in a neighbor's cottonwood. They collectively seemed to agree the tree would never hold them all and lumbered off.

That sure is a sloppy campsite the pictures show your trailer parked at.

Also, Hinckley, Ohio has a long tradition of celebrating this day:

After seeing Hinckey's planned celebration, small town in Michigan once considered having a Miss Buzzard contest. The first place contestant would get one free week in Hinckley. The runner-up would get two.
