Can any recent visitors tell me what the snow cover is like after this last bout of snow? I would love to ski the chute down to Trail Camp during Christmas weekend.

Also, is the road up to Portal in decent shape now? Or are there snow patches I need to worry about?

Skiing down from Trail Crest is probably my favorite backcountry ride, but it's way too early for it to be safe unless you know intimately where the boulders are hiding.

I'd wait for Spring.

Of course, this was before the new storm(s).
