I'm sure that we could find someone's vehicle to stash your bike in... if we lay the seats down in my car it would probably fit... not a problem..

Well, as soon as I'm in I'm out. Just found out my services are needed to watch my 4 year old grand daughter so will not be joining you all down in SD.

Bump... again... Ok folks.. we're a week from this particular hike and I want to firm up logistics.

MEETING PLACE: We are going to meet at the trailhead that is ON the 67. I have discussed the Ellie Road trailhead with a couple of other people and, while the parking situation is better, the extra length has some people concerned about their children. So... 67 and Poway Road. If there is anyone who absolutely DOES NOT want to try to fuss with parking there... PM me and we'll see what we can fix.

MEETING TIME: I would like to start at about 9AM...

For those of you who haven't done this trail before plan on 3 - 3.5 hours.. depending on how long we spend at the summit messing around. The kids and I did this trail last weekend and it took us roughly 3 hours.

So far the esteemed guest list consists of:
Spinefxr (possibly)
Brent
Karen R
Hypoxic Zombie and family
DUG67 and family
Fish395 (Thor) (possibly)‎
One-Step (Nancy)
Me and children...
‎
Other takers????‎

Let me know if there are any questions...

Thanks all!

Perhaps husband and I will join you. But we may go early and add the Ellie Lane loop. I'll let you know in advance. Sounds like fun!

Yup.. the "short way"... you're more then welcome to take the long way and meet us en route or near the summit... won't guarantee that there'll be summit snacks left for you though... wink

Confirmed for one...are we supposed to bring something for sharing at the summit?

I'm guessing that it will be pretty warm and no shade, right? No water either if I know my So Cal Mountains.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and putting faces with names.

Karen... You can bring snacks for yourself along the trail... I think someone told me that I get to bring summit cookies wink

Make sure to bring enough wate for yourself, because your right and there is no water to be found along this trail.... The kids and I each carried about 2 liters in our camelbaks and did good with that...

Can't wait to see ya again...

SoCalGirl is "supposed" to bring treats (unlike the LAST hike) so maybe we just need some "drinks". smile

No water anywhere, but I usually have a case in the car. It's an easy stroll so you won't build up too much of a thirst. Unless our host actually comes through with the promised goodies. I hear she is studying under Moose Tracks, but we shall see at the top. wink.............................DUG

SoCalGirl - rumor has it you have invited a "special guest star" from "up north". Can you confirm anything yet?................................................DUG

Well DUG.. I can confirm the rumor that an invitation has been extended north of the San Diego County borders... whether the invitation has been accepted or not is still up to speculation...
