Thanks Laura and everyone else who make life good - yes this was a good birthday week.

First there was the WPSMB hike to Dragon - it was the early start for me hiking with friends.

Then my friend Sierra Sparkles - her birthday was Monday - had a crazy idea for her 50th birthday and talked me into joining.

We drove to Taft yesterday and that is where the fun began. I admit I had my doubts when the lady said .......
We are going to jump at 11,500 feet.

.

.

.

I told her 2 days ago I was at 13k - and both my feet were touching the ground. She seemed a bit confused by that one - but still continued with class.

So after lunch - when they felt we were learned enough...

.

.

They were right - we jumped at 11.5

.
.
But I got to admit - I am glad I went AFF instead of Tandem -
My day yesterday rocked
The only rule I had to remember - pull the pilot chute at 5500ft.

Happy Birthday to me - I love life

uploading more pictures now - wait an hour to view this album and they should all be there by then.

WOW! I thought hiking Whitney for my 50th was an "out there"
idea... your friend takes the cake!! Awesome pictures! Don't
know that I could have remembered to pull at 5500ft (while
having a full on panic attack as I fall toward the quickly
approaching ground). Happy Birthday to both of you!
