I'm heading over to the Wallace Creek area for that weekend, but have two possibilities:
1. The trip falls through and I can join you.
2. The trip goes, but I head over the pass above Wales Lake into the Artic Lake drainage on Saturday, while the rest of the group sticks around for a climb of the North Ridge of Russell. We could then descend via the South Face, Right Side.
I can't lead trad (haven't had that type of rack over my shoulder in 25+ years, but I saw elsewhere that you're willing to lead it all. I can follow to 5.10, especially with a tight rope.
Equipment would be another issue. I could carry a 60 meter rope up to UBSL and drop it before we head over Russell/Carillon, but wouldn't be going all the way to Iceburg.
Send me a PM if you'd like to discuss it further.
