My daughter convinced my wife and I to take a break and take in the new movie, at least new to me, and go see Iron Man.

Early in the movie we are taken to what is supposedly Pakistan or there abouts, when lo and behold, right in front of my bulging eyes is snow-covered Lone Pine Peak! I look to its left, and sure enough, there is Langley. Then I see we are right in the middle of the Alabama Hills.

Any one else catch the location in the Alabama Hills? It sure made the movie more fun to me, since I was just at that location a few months ago, in the snow.

fun was coming down the Cerro Gordo Rd. last spring and seeing the machine guns, gas cans, camo netting and other "terrorist camp" scenes as we drove right through them - also saw the "tunnel" entrance. Saw lots of familiar sights when wathcing the movie.
