I just booked my flight for Rainier this May. When are you going? We are shooting for Liberty Ridge. Training has begun!

Here's a cute joke a 7 yr old told yesterday:

What did momma mountain tell her kids in the bathtub?

Mare sure to wash behind your mountainears! grin

Are you doing a private trip on Rainier or using a guide service? I was planning to go in June or July and was just wondering if you had any experiences with the guides up there. Great pictures, BTW !!!

I'm going with my climbing partner, un-guided. This is my 1st trip to Rainier. Good luck with your trip and keep in touch in case we are there at the same time.

I'm hoping to string together a combined Hood/Rainier trip in early June. Guided climbs up both, since I need the glacier training. (My snow climbing has been Sierra summers around Mt. Ritter and the odd bit on Borah Peak, which has impressive exposure if you slip off, but no active glaciers.)
