I was thinking about overnight camping on Cottonwood lakes and hiking Langley and Cirque in two consecutive days over Thanksgiving. Will the road be closed. How about ice/snow. I have those 6 points crampons but my friends don't. I don't want anything that will risk their lives. I know so far there hasn't been a big dump yet but I'm holding my fingers that it doesn't happen till AFTER we hike.

Right now the roads are open, but a storm is in the forecast tomorrow for snow about 7K, so stay tuned.

Those two are doable in a single day if you are a strong enough day hiker.

However, if you are going to do them separately, I do Langley via CL Trail up over Army Pass and Cirque from the Cottonwood Pass Trailhead. The latter involves a bit of cross country travel but everything is right in front of you and there is very little chance of geographic ambiguity.

This would give you two totally different looks rather than utilizing CL/NAP Trailhead for both hikes.
