Quite a while back, someone on this board listed an address for a website where you can buy replica USGS summit markers for locations such as Mt Whitney, and Mt Rainier. I tried using the search function, with no luck. Any one know what that web site address was?

Thanks !

Edit: The other thread is here -- Mt. Whitney Benchmark

I don't know of the site but I purchased one at A16 last year, if I find it, I'll give details which would likely get you what you need.

Tundra, you can get USGS benchmark replicas as either hat pins, necklaces or paperweights from geositu.com.

I have several of their pins from various state highpoints we've done, along with some other peaks, like Philipps, Baldy and the Tooth of Time out at Philmont.

Try The Northwest Territorial Mint (www.nwtmint.com)for purchasing the benchmark. You can also have the marker engraved.

Thank you all for your post. This is the information I was looking for. I just summited Mt Rainier last week, and Mt St Helen a couple days later, and wanted a replica USGS summit marker for my shadow box.

Congrats! Those are two more areas I'd love to visit. Did you get to see the new lava dome that is building up inside the cauldron there at Mount St. Helens?

Chris
