If you are headed north towards Independence and want a unique experience try the Still Life Cafe. They used to be in Olancha but have moved (west side of Hwy 395 just south of Mairs Market). I would grab a shower and put on some clean clothes before going in. French/ North African if that interests you. Lunch 11-2 and dinner 5:30-9. Closed Monday and Tuesday. You won't be disappointed. Not a bad wine list either.
