Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Climbing partner on MR wed. 6-27

I am planning on climbing the MR next Wed solo but if anyone is going to be in the area and would like to join me I would certainly enjoy the company. I do plan on an early start - around 4 a.m. or so. I made it to the top of the chute 2 weeks ago but hopefully this time I will have a summit photo for Debbie (my love). I will be arriving in Lone pine to pick up my permit Tues. 6-26 late afternoon. The route should be mostly snow free by then with comfortable temps. I plan on descending the normal route.

By normal route, do you mean the main Whitney traii?

I'm going up the Mountaineers route and yes I am returning via the main trail. I'm In Reno, packed and ready to go.
