If anyone knows of a 4 day permit or combination of permits I can get please let me know. I have some friends that are going to be up there and I would like to join them....

There are no-show permits available every day at the Visitor Center south of Lone Pine the morning of the date of entry, at 11 AM. You should be able to get one then.

Check the "Wilderness Permit Options" link in the "Feature Topics" box at the left.

I am one of the people that CT is trying to get a permit to climb with on the Mountain. We wanted to get an early start on the climb, and step off from the Portal Thursday AM. If she has to wait until the lottery drawing at 11 AM, she couldn't get up to the portal, and head up to meet us until way after Noon on Thursday. Thanks, Steve, for the lottery information, and if she has to get a "no show" permit, she will try. But we all wanted to hike up as a group with CT, so we are hoping someone will turn in a permit early, or contact her direct at her number, above. Remember, please turn in your extra permits as soon as you know you have no one to use the slot. Thank all!!
