First off, my hiking partner decided to spend his vacation time in Hawaii instead of a much more enjoyable weekend with me, so I have an extra pass for Saturday 06-23. jsh13 at earthlink dot net if you want to hook up.
So what does everyone eat while prepping for this hike? I've gone up the past four years, summitting once last year. I know that nothing tastes good on the hike, I generally bring a bagel with peanut butter and honey for 9:30am lunch at Trail Camp. Bagel because it takes more abuse in the daypack and the pb&h for flavor and some energy. I'll also eat a clif or odwalla bar at Outpost Camp, and some peanut m&m's and cashews as trail mix.
But what about before? For mostly psychological purposes, I have a pasta dinner in Lone Pine the night before, but I don't do anything other than that. I don't necessarily want to get back into the wag bag discussion from a couple of weeks ago, but I guess that is a consideration now.
