Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Partner for East Butress June7-10

So my climbing partner moved away to Germany on me, and I am intending to head up the East Butress route and make a fun trip of it June 6 or 7 through about the 10th. I met up with 2 people who are going, and I would like a partner for me to climb with. We could go as a group, but diverge from the schedule a bit if we wanted to.

They do not have a permit, so we are banking on the 4 walk in spots the morning of the 7th. We are flexible, so if the lottery doesn't pan out we can do it the next day. I'm sure it will...

Is anyone out there who would like to climb, and would like to make it a nice relaxed 3 or so day trip? Camp at boyscout, and then iceberg, then go for the summit and come back either to boyscout, or I can head all the way out if'n you want.

This is my first post to this forum, I hope asking for a partner is acceptable here! please let me know asap if anyone is seriously interested.

You must be comfortable leading at altitude. I would like to share racks and supplies for lightness and efficiency. I live in OC, so if someone is local, we can head up together

I might be interested in going up with you. I was suppose to go up on the East Face last weekend but the high winds and cold temps blew that plan apart and we did the East Ride of Russell instead.

It all depends upon if I have to work so the shorter we can make the trip the more likely I can go. I'd prefer to make the trip shorter and I'd rather not follow another party up the route, but if you are interested, send me a private message so we can swap email addresses to see if we can work things out.
