I got it! Thanks.
Click on "view as slideshow." Click on the "i." Then click on the "right arrow" to forward through the pics. Shows them in large format with captions.

That's cool. The layout on the slide show must be new, since I hadn't seen it that way b4. I like that much better!! -L

Bob,
...And you need to change the option below the posting window so it reads "Using UBB and HTML". The default is UBB only, so the HTML and width does not work, and nobody can edit and turn HTML on.
Fred, I tried to edit my post above to make that change, but there are no options at all there. However, there are for this (new) post. Is it possible that when you are editing you can't change it?

Bob, As Steve indicated, you have to select the using HTML and UBBCode option when you first store your post. That is why is is so important for you to click on the Preview Post button before you click on the Submit button. If you find an error in the preview block, you can go back and change your entries and hit Preview Post again to make sure everything is correct. Once you hit the Submit button, the only thing that you can do is edit your text.
That is why I put the following words in the Message Posting Tips Block 4 - Markup (new posts only)
The default option is Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) Code only. You can do all the enhancements listed above with UBBCode. If there is a chance that you will need to add HyperText Markup Language (HTML) tags, you should click on the arrow and select the HTML and UBB Code option, since the mode cannot be changed once a post is submitted.

Does anyone have any more info on the red route. Plan on camping at Lake 5 next month and have done the other routes (except for green), and the red route might be a fun alternative. Does it get harder than Class 3? Thanks. Chad [/quote]

The red route can be kept to class 2- easy 3. Of the 2 chutes up from the uppermost lake, the left one is easier. The green route is very easy until the north side of the Fin where one would downclimb to meet the red route. The downclimb is very scary, hard class 3- borderline 4.

Thanks Marmot. How about the last section up to the peak? Does it follow the East Ridge route, or connect with the SE Face routes? Hard to tell from the photo how far to the east side you end up. Thanks. Chad

Once you reach the top of the chute above the uppermost lake, the easiest way to cross the ridge just to the north is to make an ascending traverse to the right along easy ledges. Once across the ridge, you would take a nearly direct line up the SE face of Langley. There are any number of ducked routes and use trails on the slope. The climb can be kept to easy class 3 if you stay near the middle of the face. If you wander onto the east ridge, the climbing gets more challenging, with greater steepness and exposure. If you wander to the west, you will also encounter harder climbing and steeper rock.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like more fun than the normal sand slog route. Chad
