Princess Campground located in the Sequoia National Forest approximately 15 minutes past Grant Grove Visitor Center in Kings Canyon National Park.

In August of 2006, we were looking to go on a last-minute camping trip. I read about Princess in a campground book and found sites available for the end of the month. We found a beautiful, clean, and quiet campground with plenty of shade with sites available for those who came without reservations. The hosts were nice and informative. Bear Boxes were available for many of the sites. Restrooms…if I remember correctly, were pit toilets only…but they were clean. There is piped, running water available.

We have reserved multiple sites again…this time for a trip in July with some other families (try getting multiple sites next to each other in Yosemite Valley in the summertime!).

I also plan to do some day hiking in preparation for my August 24th Mt. Whitney Day Hike.

Just my two cents worth! Happy Camping wherever you choose!

It is just before you get to the Hume Lake cutoff (aka Ten Mile Creek road). Hume Lake is also a nice place to camp.
