Rick, I won't pull it. Almost always I do that only when a topic has become OBE (overcome by events). For example, a report in February about how far you can drive up the Portal Road is meaningless two months later.
Rarely, I will remove something if it generates too much controversy, and I had decided to do that here two weeks ago. But then some responses were added that I thought contained valuable information. Right after that I ran into Kurt Wedberg at a restaurant in Bishop, and we talked briefly about exactly this.
I would be less likely to remove posts if Doug would reset my post number to zero: that number at the bottom of each post that now reads 935 or so for me. Besides being self-conscious about how much I seem to have to say, I fear that something like a Y2K may occur--when my number hits 1000, that may bring the whole WPS message board crashing down!
