Does anyone here have any first hand information about either climbing or descending the North Ridge of Mc Adie. Is there a way that doesn't involve 5.7 climbing or rappelling?

Cheers

As far as I know there is no other decent route. You can log onto Summitpost.org and contact awagher.....he has a good take on the routes on this peak.

Here is a picture of the north side of Mt. McAdie taken from the summit of Mt. Marsh, 0.2 Miles NNW of it. Looks like some easy ways up.

It looks like Summit Post is down. They are requiring user authentication to access the site. Anybody know what's up?

It's been down a couple of days now. I'm curious, too.

Hi there.

If you need to contact awagher (Andrew) I know him and have his personal e-mail (I could send it to Steve C). He doesn't have a cell phone yet since losing it on Owens Peak recently. Regarding SP, I believe they are just doing some clean up/maintance/etc...they'll be up soon enough! I know I'm having SP withdrawls! wink

Could you get him to post some info on the north ridge here?

I sent Andrew an e-mail with the link to this thread. He's been super busy as of late, so I don't know if he will reply by today. Thanks.

How come you used to say you are from Huntington Beach but now you say "no where"?

The reason I ask is I'm not very educated with message boards and am wondering what that means. The question falls along the same lines as me wondering why on Summit Post people make posts with nothing more than "...".

Thanks in advance for the education.

Sierra Cement (lol, I like your name btw, but not the actual stuff) ~ ummm, I don't want to get in trouble again on this board so I will only keep things MT Whitney related and beta related (no chatting off-topic for me anymore) wink

But to quickly answer your questions...message boards vary across the board (lol). I have a weird sense of humour and just happen to live no where on here (and I used to live in my mom's womb on SP). Just being silly, I guess. Regarding the "..." those are usually posts that the author has edited, i.e. removed the entire post. You cannot delete a post on SP once someone has posted after yours.

Now, back to mountains...
