Years ago i could coux my team of wery high school students ( youth group from church ) out of there tents & into there pacs rici tic just by saying ( at 6 am , in a loud voice ) that i'm heading to the "Frosty Chalait" for cheese burgers & a shake. Well those days are gone but after being in the back country for a spell that chat & chew type of food is on my mind com'in down the mountain. this year, for the first time ,it was those pancakes at portal & a buckler that did the trick. i mean how sic am i that i got to get to portal store by 10:45 ( i'm sure it drives my team nut's ) just for some cakes. anyways, what drives you?

The pancake breakfast was insane! I got about 1/2 way through before I felt like I was going to explode. It's amazing what a few days of gorp will do to your appetite. I'm glad I waited until the end of the hike to chow down on this meal of madness. How about a blintz? Bon Appetite.
