We saw some Mountain Bikers on the Main Trail below the North Fork earlier this year.

I've also seen plenty of evidence that some have ridden the PCT above Islip Saddle.

As much as I like to ride in the mountains, if a trail is marked off-limits, it should be off-limits. My personal feeling is that going after these guys after-the-fact isn't going to curtail the activity.

Well, it sure won't, with such paltry penalties.

-payment of cost of the investigation and court time.

-confiscation of bikes

-banned from all federal lands for two years

-5 years probation
