a friend and i are looking for 2 dayhike permits for 8/31.
(we're doing the trans-sierra, and would rather go up the main trail than the north fork, if at all possible).

Call the Wilderness Permit office every day -- someone is bound to turn in their unused permit.

If all goes as planned, I will be turning in a minimum of two and a maximum of four permits for the 31st on the 28th of August.
