Hey, so I have been reading everyones reports and its great to hear about trail conditions. I have a day trip planned on the 26 with a small group (we have extra passess if anyone is interested) and some of our group members are planning on taking snow shoes - does anyone who has hiked whitney in the winter or hiked it recentlent have any impute? My sister and I are planning on using crampons, but I'm a little concerned about the rest of the group. We plan on sticking to the main trail as much as possible, but on the post a lot of people are reccomending taking the snow shoot. I would love to hear some feedback from more experienced winter hikers. (I have done whitney and summeted on a clear summer, but all the snow this year is making this a totally different trip!)
