I have been up White Mtn. several times and know the winds can be brutal but has anyone noticed the wind gusts reported on the White Mt. web site? It is reporting 70+mph wind gusts more than years past. Having been turned back once due to those cold winds I know them well. Also, our group of three will be starting at 2:00am, July 28 for a day hike. If anyone would like to join us let me know. Bob

Hi Bob - I'll be finishing the JMT 7/25, work in Sacramento on 7/27 - so I may just drive straight over to WMP for 7/28.
