Interestingly enough, I saw a through hiker this summer (can't remember when), on the PCT just south of Donner Pass Road (Truckee area). She had flipped to Ashland, Oregon after running into snow in the southern sierras. The teddy bear shown in the pictures looks much like the one she was carrying. I don't have any other details. I hike this section of the trail regularly so I have no idea as to date. She did say she was from the northeast; moving to Arizona.
