smile No such thing as too many pictures! Great stuff...love the picture looking back at Iceberg Lake..it looks so beautiful. Looks like you guys had good weather for the hike...and that is one of the first pictures I've seen of people actually ON the walk-off (traverse)..

Thanks for sharing! smile

OK, Bob, you got my attention on photo #83. Did you bring your binoculars? I see a lot of haze, but no Baldy.

I wasn't aware that Wilford Brimley is a mountaineer! (Of course, I am referring to picture #28. Heh heh heh...)

Beach, You're right. The weather couldn't have been better! Put on light long sleeves in the chute because it was a little chilly in the shade, but other than that, it could have been T-shirt and shorts for the entire trip (at least during the daylight hours.) Virtually no wind to speak of. It was a most excellent trip, although I'm getting tired of my old man kicking my butt in the mountains... :-)

For some reason I can't access pics 12, 14, 17, 33, 58 and 60. Anyone else having trouble?

I can't access those pics either. I'd be interested in seeing the walk off shot. By the way, when we hiked the MR on 8/12, another party we were in the couloir with peeled off at the notch and did the traverse while we did the first chute. They got to the top at the same time we did, and going down got back to the notch the same time we did. I thought that was interesting that the two routes, at least in this case, took exactly the same time...though to me the chute seemed much more fun.

Bob,

We know you like variety, and it's always interesting to see the different ways that we can do things up there.
