Summited from the TH via the north fork/MR in four hours today. Leftover snow/hail from the previous day's t-storm caused a glaze of ice in the first chute beyond the notch (made the climb more of a challenge). On the way down I noticed a chopper circling Mt Russell for quite some time; they landed briefly on the plateau between clyde meadow and the Russell-Carillon saddle....anyone know the story on that? I assume it was SAR activity.
